Hundred of kids from needy families who might not have been able to dress up and go trick-or-treating for Halloween this year received costumes from a Massachusetts outreach organization ahead of the holiday, the group announced Monday.

More than 250 local children filled a tent full of costumes set up by dozens of volunteers from Interfaith Social Services at the organization's offices in Quincy on Saturday, Oct. 19. The kids choose their scary (or not-so-scary) costumes, according to a news release from Interfaith.

Hundreds of costumes had been donated by individuals, families and businesses, Interfaith Social Services said, and companies around Boston held their own costume drives to help as well. Photos shared by the organization showed racks of superhero costumes, frilly dresses, a scary clown and more.

There were treats as well: Milton's Girl Scout Troop 76176 created hundreds of goodie bags for the kids while Stop & Shop provided goodies and 250 pumpkins for the kids to take home, according to Interfaith Social Services' statement .
