Jury Deliberating in Mother, Unborn Child Murder Trial

Jurors in the murder trial of Quoizel Wilson are expected to continue weighing the case Thursday

A jury has started deliberating in the trial of a man charged with killing the mother of his unborn child on Cape Cod nearly five years ago.

Jurors in the murder trial of Quoizel Wilson are expected to continue weighing the case Thursday after starting deliberations following closing statement in Barnstable Superior Court on Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Wilson fatally shot 23-year-old Trudie Hall in July 2010. Hall, of Nantucket, was reported missing when she didn't return home from a trip to Cape Cod. Her body was found in April 2012 by a man walking his dog in a wooded area.

The Cape Cod Times reports
that Wilson's attorney said in closings that his client lacked motive for the killing and there is no DNA evidence linking him to the death.
