Kyrie Irving Called LeBron James to Apologize, Ask About Leading a Young Team

Kyrie Irving made a surprising admission after the Celtics' win over the Raptors.

Irving, in a brighter mood following his 27-point, 18-assist performance, said he called ex-teammate LeBron James to ask about leading a young team and apologize for "once being that young player that wanted everything at his fingertips." You can listen to everything Irving had to say about his conversation with LeBron in the vide above.

After discussing that conversation, Irving made one thing clear: He won't be as friendly with LeBron when the Lakers come to town:

The Celtics' three-game losing skid stirred some drama within the C's locker room when Irving criticized the young players on the team. For Irving to call LeBron for advice shows his drive to improve as a leader both on and off the court, and that's extremely encouraging for a team that looks to build off their win over the Raptors and find some consistency moving forward.
