    A man was arrested in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood after police resonded to a report that shots were fired in Somerville, Massachusetts.

    State police initially said 27-year-old William Freeman-Benjamin of Leominster had been arrested on kidnapping charges, but later said that information should be disregarded and that any charges would come from Somerville Police.

    A 2017 Hyundai Sonata was being sought by police in Somerville in connection to shots being fired. A state trooper spotted that vehicle around 12:20 p.m. on Interstate 93 southbound in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, state police said. It was stopped on Savin Hill Avenue.

    Police said Freeman-Benjamin and a 33-year-old Woburn woman were in the car.

    Police released footage of a mother who said she accidentally left her 5-month-old in a car for half an hour in a Goodyear, Arizona, parking lot when she, her sister and other daughter went into the store. Officers are heard on camera saying it was about 99 degrees outside.

    Freeman-Benjamin was taken to the state police barracks in South Boston. The woman who was in the car was also taken to the barracks in a different cruiser to speak with detectives.

    Police from Somerville arrived around 1:30 to bring Freeman-Benjamin to the Somerville Police Department.

    It was not immediately clear if Freeman-Benjamin had an attorney.
