Flying Into Logan? Rideshare Pickups Just Moved for More Travelers

Last week, the change went into effect for just terminals A and C, but terminals B and E have joined in

More rideshare users traveling through Boston Logan International Airport will now be using the new, centralized location to be picked up in their Ubers, Lyfts and other app-based rides.

Monday, Nov. 4, is when all rideshare passengers being picked up at Logan will meet their vehicles at Central Parking. Last week, the change went into effect for just terminals A and C, but terminals B and E have joined in.

That means if you're flying American, United, Air Canada, Alaska, Spirit, Southwest and Boutique Air, or flying into the country, you'll now head to the Ride App pickup location at Central Parking to meet your rideshare vehicle.

For now, any rideshares headed to Logan will continue dropping passengers off curbside at the terminals' departures area. That changes in part next Monday, Nov. 11, when dropoffs between 4 and 10 a.m. will move to lower level terminal curbs.

Dropoffs will permanently move to Central Parking on Dec. 9. That's when the new $3.25 dropoff fee kicks in as well. Shared rides will have a reduced fee starting then as well.

The location at the new Central Parking structure is weather protected, with heaters for the cold winter months, and will be safer and more efficient pickups and dropoffs, airport officials have said. The location connects to all the terminals at Logan Airport.

Under Massport's plan (details here), passengers with disabilities can still opt to be dropped off or picked up at the curbside accessible locations at terminals.
