MCI-Concord Locked Down After Inmates Refuse to Disband

MCI-Concord, a medium security prison in Concord, Massachusetts, was placed on lockdown Friday morning after a group of inmates refused to disband in an open dormitory unit.

A spokesman for the Massachusetts Department of Correction said an emergency response was implemented, which included placing the facility into lockdown.

The matter was resolved without incident, the spokesman said.

There was no damage to proeprty and no injuries to inmates or staff.
