Police are looking for a man they say attacked a woman and yelled racial insults Tuesday evening in Brookline, Massachusetts.

The woman told police she parked on Dean Road around 7:15 p.m. and was walking outside All Saint's Parish at the intersection with Beacon Street when a man shoved her from behind, knocking her to the ground.

The man tried to take the woman's backpack as he threatened her and shouted racial insults, police said.

The attacker fled after the woman fought back and screamed. She waited at the church for police to arrive.
