Man Killed Outside Bar in Fall River Has Been Identified

Two other apparent shooting victims are in stable condition

A man who was shot and killed outside a bar in Fall River Friday has been identified, according to authorities.

The homicide victim has been publicly identified as 39-year-old Eric Voshell of Oak Bluffs, Mass., the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said on Sunday.

Voshell was shot around 10 p.m. on Friday evening at JC's Cafe and subseqeuently rushed to Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was pronounced dead Saturday morning, according to the Bristol DA.

Two other people who were also apparently shot, a 37-year-old man from Fall River and a 23-year-old man from Bridgewater, were brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both men are in stable condition Sunday, the DA said.

Witnesses near the scene said that a biker brawl had broken out seconds before gunshots rang out.

"I heard a noise and thought it was fireworks or something and I looked outside and saw a bunch of guys brawling," Fall River resident Sandro Semedo said.

No arrests have been made, and the shooting remains under investigation.
