Man Shot and Killed in Hyde Park, Boston's 14th Murder This Year

A young man was shot and killed in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood early Saturday evening.

Just after 5:30 p.m., police said they responded to a call for a person shot on Frazer Street. Upon arrival, officers located a man who appeared to be in his late twenties suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.

Boston Police Commissioner Bill Evans said this was the city’s 14th homicide this year. "We're way ahead of last year, and obviously that's troubling,” he said.

The shooting remains under investigation.
