State police say a man has been struck and killed on Route 291 West in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Police said the man was walking on the road at about 10 p.m. Friday when he was hit near Dwight Street by a Honda Odyssey minivan.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
State police say the 48-year-old Springfield woman who was driving was taken to a hospital. She has not been charged.
