The man who pointed a laser into New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's eyes said he will not apologize for what he did, but that he was not trying to harm him.

Inside Edition reports that 64-year-old Dwyan Morgan, who used a green laser to shine a light in Brady's eyes at the NFL AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Jan. 20, told them he merely meant to distract him.

The incident was not shown on the CBS broadcast of the game, but was caught on camera by a local news cameraman in Kansas City. Although the beam was shined at Brady several times, he seemed unphased.

Morgan was arrested later for disturbing the peace. According to the Associated Press, lasers are prohibited at sporting events.

Morgan told Inside Edition that he did not expect things would go this far and that he now feels he should not have shone the laser.
