Marcus Smart Could Miss Two Weeks With Right Hand Injury

Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart is expected to be out for up to two weeks after hitting a picture frame in the team's hotel and injuring his right hand.

On Friday Smart posted to his Twitter account that he “swiped at and hit” a picture frame on the wall. He traveled back to Boston on Wednesday before the team’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The team announced Friday that he could miss the next two weeks after being evaluated by doctors.

The guard also apologized to coaches, teammates and fans on Twitter for the incident, saying “I feel like I let all y'all down.”

In a separate Tweet, Smart wrote, “I promise I will learn from this situation and come back better than ever. I love y'all and I truly appreciate all the support.”
