Maria's Pizza in Beverly Is Closing

A North Shore pizzeria that has been around for a long time is closing its doors.

According to an article from the Patch, Maria's Pizza in Beverly is shutting down on October 13, with a note on the door of the Cabot Street spot announcing the closure and saying "We thank you all for your patronage and friendship these past 39 years. It has been our pleasure to serve you and you will be missed." No reason has been given for the closing of Maria's as of yet, and it is not known what might be going into the space, so stay tuned for any updates that might come in.

Maria's, which first opened in 1979, offers pizza, calzones, subs, sandwiches, and a variety of dinner items.
