Massachusetts State Police Investigate Fatal Crash

Massachusetts State Police say one person died in a crash Saturday morning.

Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal three-car crash in Milton.

Just after 6 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the report of a crash on Route 28 southbound. Investigation revealed a 38-year-old woman from Boston was rear-ended by an Infinity G35x operated by a 31-year-old man from Holbrook. As a result, the woman's vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, was pushed into the breakdown lane and the man's vehicle traveled into the northbound lane and struck a Honda Accord head-on.

The operators and sole occupants of the Honda and the Infinity were extracted from their vehicles by the Milton Fire Department. Police say the operator of the Honda was transported to Milton Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man in the Infinity was transported to Boston Medical for treatment of serious injuries, and the operator of the Toyota and her eight-year-old passenger were transported to Carney Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police say the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
