Body of Cambridge Man Missing in Walden Pond Recovered

Authorities had been searching for the 53-year-old man since he went missing Thursday

The body of a 53-year-old Cambridge man who was last seen in Walden Pond last week has been recovered, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Authorities spent four days scouring the site in search of the missing man, who had not been seen since visiting the Concord tourist spot.

Authorities said the man's location was detected by state police K9 Sgt. Stephen Barnes and his cadaver dog Dakota aboard a search boat at about noon Monday.

Dive teams then entered the water and recovered the man's body in about 35 feet of water. The man's identity has not yet been released.

Authorities said at this time, no foul play is expected. The death will be investigated by the Middlesex County State Police Detective Unit.
