More Rain on the Way

Currently, in Boston, it’s the 15th wettest April in recorded history and the 5th warmest

It’s been a mild, wet April so far.

Currently, in Boston, it’s the 15th wettest April in recorded history (records began in 1972) and the 5th warmest. It looks like we will climb a couple more spots in the wettest category, but we will likely fall out of the top 10 when it comes to the warmest.

Our unsettled weather continues, but it gets increasing cloudy during the last few days of April.

Rain returns Sunday. It won’t be as heavy or steady as it was Friday into Friday night. At this point we should receive a quarter to a half inch of rain across New England.

Monday looks dry and sunny. Temperatures will be seasonably mild. With a light onshore wind developing, temperatures along the coast will struggle to get to 50°.

After Monday we will be entering back into an unsettled stretch. Temperatures will only climb into the mid 50s and there will be shower chances between Tuesday and Friday.

Next weekend looks slightly drier, but we can’t rule out a couple of showers. Temperatures should moderate to 60°. At this point, Sunday looks to be the pick of the weekend.

Early the following week, temperatures will stay around 60°. Shower chances will increase again by that following Tuesday.
