It's a day to celebrate all that mothers do.
"It's so hard it's tough but really wonderful, it's been a great year for us a busy year for us with the two girls but fabulous," said Erika Cagney of Boston, a mother of two.
On this Mother's Day, Mother Nature gave a gift to everyone.
Beautiful weather meant parks and restaurants were packed both inside and out.
Sarah Johnson of Kinsale Irish Pub and Restaurant in Boston said the restaurant offers a free meal to moms.
"Part of the restaurant industry to have people come out and do special things with their families," she explained.
At Deuxave in Boston, Chef and Owner Chris Coombs said, "Mother's Day is huge for us it's like the Super Bowl of the culinary calendar and between our three restaurants we are going to feed 1000 people today which is great."
