Noodle Market May Be Replacing Sweet Chili in Arlington Center

It looks like a longtime Arlington restaurant could be on its way out, with a new dining spot taking its place.

According to a meeting agenda page within the town calendar, Noodle Market is requesting a common victualler/beer and wine license to operate on Mass. Ave. in the center of town, with the address indicating that it would move into the space where Sweet Chili currently resides. No other information has been given other than the fact that the person behind the new eatery would be Juthamas Pornsuwattanakul.

Sweet Chili, which first opened approximately 20 years ago, is a Thai restaurant that offers such dishes as shumai, tom yum soup, steamed fish, lemongrass beef, tamarind duck, pad thai, drunken noodles, and pineapple fried rice.

The address for Sweet Chili (and the proposed Noodle Market) is 470-472 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington, MA, 02474.
