A missing 3-year-old girl has been found, according to police in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Authorities said Friday afternoon that Ava Amitan was believed to have been with her father, 35-year-old Vadim Amitan. Based on information they had received, police said the young girl may have been endangered.
Police announced around 10:20 p.m. that Amitan had been located and an order to be on the lookout was cancelled.
Initially, police had said Vadim Amitan had legal custody of his daughter. Later Friday afternoon, they said Ava Amitan had actually been in custody of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families.
No further information was immediately available.
