An officer and a woman were hospitalized for possible fentanyl exposure Wednesday night in Boston’s South End neighborhood.

Boston police said they received a call at 9:41 p.m. of a woman in her 30s needing medical assistance in her car. Officials then responded to the area of East Concord Street and Harrison Avenue.

The woman and officer were taken to an area hospital since they were potentially exposed to fentanyl. Their conditions are unclear.

Boston police said they are unsure what department the officer belongs to. They did not release the victims’ names.
