New England

One More Nice Day for Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day will be a lot more comfortable. We’re expecting sunshine with temperatures in the 70s.

It was a steamy Sunday across New England expect for far northern Maine.

Temperatures hit 80° for the second time of 2019. The hottest spot in New England was in Windsor Locks at Bradley International Airport where the mercury climbed to 90°! There were a few hit or miss thunderstorms, but most locations were dry.

Memorial Day will be a lot more comfortable. We’re expecting sunshine with temperatures in the 70s. Humidity levels will also drop off. Skies will be sunny and we’ll stay dry. If you’re back at the beach, be mindful that the water temperatures are still dangerously cold.

Unsettled weather returns on Tuesday. We will see back to back days in the 50s and 60s. The best way to sum of the forecast: gross. Winds will be off the water. It will rain more often than not and the sun will go into hiding for both days.

Temperatures warm up significantly on Thursday. High temperatures could climb back into the 80s. Additional showers and thunderstorms will be possible.

We cool of slightly by Friday with mostly sunny skies and the outside chance of a shower. Currently the weekend looks mainly dry. The greatest chance for showers will be on Sunday.

The following week looks a bit unsettled with showers and high temperatures in the low 70s, which is typical for this time of year.
