Patrick Chung Exits Super Bowl With Arm Injury

The Patriots' defense took a blow in the beginning of the second half of Super Bowl LIII.

Safety Patrick Chung went down with an arm injury less than a minute into the third quarter. During a play, his right arm was caught between the helmets of Rams running back Todd Gurley II and teammate Jonathan Jones.

Chung's arm was put in a cast and he walked off the field, not getting in the cart that was taken out to the field for him.

The Patriots tweeted that he would not return to the game.

Chung appeared in 15 games this season for the Patriots, accruing 84 tackles, including 52 solo tackles. He had made four tackles in Sunday's game before his injury.

At the time Chung went down, the Patriots led 3-0 against Los Angeles. Follow the action here.
