Peabody Doctor Accused of Sexually Assaulting Patient

The accuser says the doctor began to pinch her all over her body

A doctor has been charged with sexually assaulting a patient during a visit to his office last month in Peabody, Massachusetts.

Dr. Walter Levitsky, 84, of Topsfield, pleaded not guilty to the charge of indecent assault and battery Thursday.

"He is a good doctor. He cares about his patients. He supports them," Dr. Levitsky's longtime office manager, Susie, said Friday. "I've never seen anything inappropriate."

The office manager, who didn't want to give her last name, says she found out about the incident on Friday when a patient called the office.

According to the Salem News, the woman said Levitsky began to pinch her all over her body, eventually reaching her chest, according to the police report.

"Pretty disgusting," Beverly Orro said. "When I was in the hospital, he did visit me once. He didn't touch, he didn't exam me."

"I think I would have pinched him right back," she added.

According to the Board of Registration in Medicine, Levitsky resigned his medical license recently.

His officer manager said he would be in the office next week to say goodbye to his former patients.

He is due back in court next month.
