Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Highway in Dorchester

Expect major delays on the Expressway

A pedestrian was killed after being struck on Route 93 in Dorchester, Massachusetts on Wednesday morning, according to state police.

State police say they received reports of an adult male staggering across the Route 93 soutbound around Exit 16, according to a press release. He was then struck by a vehicle and found lying on the roadway on Route 93 northbound near Exit 15.

The man, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The victim had been hit by a 2014 Subaru Forester driven by a 40-year-old Norton man. The driver was not injured in the crash.

This incident remains under investigation.
