Person Hit, Killed by Train in N.H.

The person was hit in Plaistow by the Downeaster

An Amtrak Downeaster train hit and killed someone Friday afternoon in Plaistow, New Hampshire, according to necn affiliate WCSH.

Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority spokesperson Patricia Quinn tells WCSH that train 684 left Portland at 12:45 p.m., heading to Boston.

No cars were involved in the accident and none of the 94 passengers on board were injured.

Amtrak Downeaster says there will be significant delays to 684's arrival in Boston and 685's departure.
