Pho Vietnam to Open in Former Sintra Space in South Braintree

by Marc Hurwitz

A Vietnamese eatery is taking over part of the space where an upscale suburban restaurant had been.

A check on the place over the weekend indicates that Pho Vietnam is planning to open in the former Sintra space in South Braintree, with the Washington Street storefront also becoming home to a nail salon as well. The upcoming opening of the Vietnamese restaurant was first mentioned by a source a few weeks ago but its exact name wasn't known until now, and there is currently very little information about the dining spot, so keep checking back for updates.

Sintra, which first opened approximately 14 years ago, was a casual upscale restaurant that featured  New American and Mediterranean fare such as steamed mussels, a meatball and fig flatbread, bolognese with chorizo, house-made gnocchi with shrimp, seafood risotto, and pork chops.

The address for Sintra was 906 Washington Street in South Braintree; it is not yet known if this will be the address for both Pho Vietnam and the nail salon or if they will have separate addresses.
