Pickup Truck Slams Into Gas Station, Injuring 69-Year-Old Employee

A pickup truck slammed into a gas pump and crashed through the front of a Rowley, Massachusetts, gas station last Friday, injuring a 69-year-old employee, police said.

Surveillance video appears to show the 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck slowing down to make a let turn on Haverhill Street from the northbound lane of Main Street, before speeding up and jumping the curb into the Knowles Gas Station lot.The truck upended a gas pump, igniting a small fire, before crashing into the building.

Curtis Andresen, 40, of Georgetown, was arrested following the crash.

Andresen was charged with OUI drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and possession of Class. He was given a bail warning, ordered not to drive, not to consume drugs or alcohol and to submit to random screens. 

His next date in court is July 22 for a pre-trial hearing.
