Poke City Plans to Open in Cambridge

A new restaurant is on its way to Cambridge, and it may be offering a type of food that has just made its debut in the Boston area.

According to a License Commission Hearing Agenda page within the city's website, Poke City is seeking a license to operate on Mass. Ave., with the address indicating that it would be taking over the space near Porter Square where Tisan Coffee Express had been. Little is currently known about the place other than the fact that it would have seating for 20 and possible hours of 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Based on its name, it appears that Poke City could be serving a Hawaiian raw fish salad called poke, which can be found at the new Pokeworks in Somerville's Davis Square and will also be offered at the upcoming Manoa in Somerville near Porter Square.

The address for this proposed restaurant in Cambridge is: Poke City, 1722 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02138.
