Police investigated a second suspicious device after one was found at an apartment complex in Fall River, Massachusetts, on Thursday night.
State police say officers were called to a rear parking lot of the South Coast Landings apartment complex on North Main Street Friday night. A bomb squad responded but was called off shortly after.
A suspicious device was found in the same location at 8:17 p.m Thursday. Residents in the area were evacuated and police set up a perimeter.
The Massachusetts State Police bomb squad, the FBI, and ATF also responded to help secure the area. MSP bomb squad then inspected the package with the use of a robot and detonated the device, which state police described as a pipe bomb.
Resident George Darocha said police knocked on his door to tell him he and his neighbors had to leave.
"They said somebody found a cooler and they checked it out and there were wires and a pipe," Darocha recalled.
No injuries were reported, but the detonation did cause property damage to the door of an apartment.

The incident left many residents uneasy.
"Everybody was nervous. We didn't know half of the stuff of what was going on," said Darocha.
Police said the incident is not believed to be terrorist-related, but it is also not considered random. No arrests have been made.
