Police: Man Crashes Brother's Ferrari Into Parked Cars

Police in Massachusetts say a 50-year-old man with a revoked license got behind the wheel of his brother's Ferrari and crashed it into two parked cars.

"All of a sudden we heard a skid almost, like a car trying to correct. And then just a big bang," Julianne Murray said.

Police responding to a call around 9 p.m. Tuesday on East Street in Weymouth found a red 1995 Ferrari pinned underneath a parked SUV. Police say John Distasio told officers he had lost control of the vehicle as he changed gears.

Distasio was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

Investigators later determined that he had been driving over 45 miles per hour when the sports car crossed into another lane, jumped the curb and spun into two parked cars in a driveway. No one was in the parked vehicles at the time of the crash.

Distasio was issued multiple citations.

Public records for Distasio show more than 100 driving violations, as well as 10 accidents.
