Police: Man Shoots, Kills Pit Bull That Was Attacking Him

Police say a Massachusetts man shot and killed a pit bull in his home after it clamped down on his arm and refused to let go.

Yarmouth police say the 25-year-old man and his girlfriend were lying in bed with the dog he was fostering on Sunday evening when he tried to move the animal and it attacked him.

After unsuccessfully trying to dislodge the animal, the man reached into his nightstand where he kept a 9 mm handgun, and fired a single shot, killing the dog.

The man is licensed to own the gun. He was treated at the hospital for severe injuries to his left arm.

[NATL] Clerk Pulls Out Machete on Would-Be Robber

A would-be robber armed with a knife had a surprise in store when an Alabama store clerk pulled out a machete in defense. The two's brief knife fight was caught on camera before the clerk runs out to damage the robber's car.

According to police, suspect Seth Holcomb walked up to the counter to make a purchase. He leaves the store and then comes back in as if to make a second purchase. Then, he pulled out a knife at the counter. What he didn't expect was that the clerk would pull out a machete of his own.
