One person was killed and two others were injured in a 3-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Medfield, Massachusetts.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. on Route 109 near the Shaw's plaza in the area of Pederzini Drive.

Investigators are trying to question of the three drivers involved in the deadly accident.

Officers saw him speeding down Route 109 moments before the crash happened.

Aerial footage from the NBC Sky Ranger showed at least one vehicle overturned on its roof. Further down the road, two more vehicles could be seen with heavy damage.

The driver of a Chevy, heavily damaged in the accident, died at the scene.

The driver of a Kia was hurt.

And the man behind the wheel of the Jeep is at Tufts Hospital.

None of the three vehicles involved had passengers, and police are not identifying the drivers at this time.

The wreck and investigation shut down the busy road in both directions during the evening rush hour. Cars were detoured around the area for more than six hours as the state police crash reconstruction team worked to figure out what happened.

The chief says the driver of the Jeep could face charges.
