Police are searching the Merrimack River for evidence connected to a year-old murder, according to The Eagle-Tribune.
The newspaper said the search is centered around the Duck Bridge on Union Street in Lawrence. Firefighters are searching from boats, and Massachusetts State Police divers are also on their way to the scene.
Massachusetts State Police sent out a tweet saying that a dive team is assisting detectives with the Essex District Attorney's Office in the search.
