Police and other authorities raided a home Friday in Medford, Massachusetts, seizing heroin, an illegal gun and tens of thousands of dollars.
Forty-five-year-old Michael Puntonio of Medford and 46-year-old Alexis Delvalle of Chelsea were arrested after police say they made a drug deal in Wareham.
Officers from Medford, Everett and Cambridge, joined by the DEA, searched Puntonio's Mayberry Avenue apartment. There, police say they found more than $40,000 in cash, more than 50 grams of heroin and an illegal handgun with ammunition.
Both men were charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws. Puntonio is also charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and illegal possession of a firearm and ammo.
Puntonio and Delvalle will be arraigned Monday in Somerville.
