A man who was injured in an officer-involved shooting in Massachusetts was identified by authorites as investigators were still on the scene of the incident Friday morning.
The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Michael Walsh of Plymouth, was shot by officers responding to a domestic dispute call involving his wife on Thursday, according to authorities.
Walsh was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
Police responded to the 6:10 p.m. domestic disturbance call in Plymouth on the 600 block of Federal Furnace Road.
Walsh had allegedly fired shots into a vehicle that his 41-year-old wife was in. She fled the scene looking for help, and her husband went back into the house, according to police.
When officers arrived at the scene, Walsh came out of the house and fired at officers. Law enforcement returned fire, shooting him.
No officers were injured, but seven were transported from the scene for precautionary reasons.

Police say Walsh was previously known to the department.
Walsh is scheduled to be arraigned at 2 p.m. on Friday at MGH on a host of charges, according to officials. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
The investigation is ongoing.
