Quincy Police Asking for Public's Help to Identify Break-in Suspect

Authorities say the suspect may have possible ties to Rhode Island

Police in Quincy, Massachusetts are asking the public for help in identifying a person of interest in connection with a string of break-ins over the last few weeks.

Authorities say the suspect may have possible ties to Rhode Island.

The thief started breaking in to empty homes Thanksgiving week around dinner time.

The man has been caught on camera wandering outside of homes and was even seen dropping down from a roof at one point.

Quincy police shared video on Twitter, and people who saw it were unhappy.

"It kind of makes me sick. That's somebody else's stuff," Tina Prey said.

"Not good. I wish they'd catch him," one man said.

"It's pretty disappointing," Abhijit Das said.

Quincy residents say they will keep any eye out for the person who has been taking others belongings away.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective A.J. Carthas at 617-745-5782 or Detective William Monteith at 617-745-5767.
