Red Sox Schedule 2020: Dates, Opponents for Next Season Revealed

If you're a depressed Boston Red Sox fan already looking ahead to the 2020 season ... you're in luck.

Major League Baseball revealed its 2020 regular season schedule Monday, which includes the Red Sox' full 162-game slate.

Here are a couple key Red Sox dates to note:

  • Opening Day: Thursday, March 26 at Toronto Blue Jays
  • Home Opener: Thursday, April 2 vs. Chicago White Sox

The Red Sox open on a seven-game road trip from March 26 to April 1 in Toronto and Baltimore, one season after embarking on an 11-game West Coast trip to begin the 2019 campaign.

Boston also will get familiar with the National League Central, hosting series against the St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds while visiting the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field and the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park.

That Red Sox-Cardinals series will be St. Louis' second regular-season visit to Boston since 2008 and second since the Red Sox defeated the Cardinals in the 2013 World Series.
