Report: Prosecutors Seeking Jail Time for Felicity Huffman

Jail time is being recommended for Felicity Huffman, according to a report from CNN.

Prosecutors will seek four to 10 months in jail for Huffman, 56, for her involvement in the college admissions scandal, according to a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation.

The former "Desperate Housewives" star is one of 13 parents who pleaded guilty last week on charges of conspiracy to commit fraud. A total of 33 parents, including former "Full House" star Lori Loughlin, have been accused of bribing college administrators and coaches using their wealth in order to seek admission for their children.

Huffman agreed to plead guilty for paying $15,000 to a fake charity in order to have someone cheat for her daughter on her SATs. She'll be sentenced on May 21 in Boston after entering a guilty plea on April 8.

She has issued an apology, stating that her daughter did not know of her actions.

"This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life," Huffman said. "My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty."
