Report: Fenway Park to Host Bowl Game Starting in 2020

Football's footprint at Fenway Park continues to expand.

The home of the Boston Red Sox will host a college football bowl game between teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and American Athletic Conference (AAC) beginning in 2020, Stadium's Brett McMurphy reported Tuesday.

The currently-unnamed bowl game will make Fenway the third Major League Baseball stadium to host an annual bowl game, joining Yankee Stadium (Pinstripe Bowl) and the Arizona Diamondbacks' Chase Field (Cheez-It Bowl).

Fenway Park, which used to host Boston Patriots games back in the 1960s, ended a nearly 50-year hiatus by hosting Boston College and Notre Dame for a 2015 contest. America's oldest ballpark has been the site of several college and high school games since then, including Harvard vs. Yale in 2018.
