Gronk Plays Xbox With Blount, Says He'll Play in Super Bowl

After playing video games with former teammate LeGarrette Blount, who will face the Patriots in the Super Bowl, Rob Gronkowski said he will be playing Sunday.

Rob Gronkowski was back at practice Wednesday for the first time since he suffered a concussion in the AFC Championship.

The star Patriots tight end said Tuesday night that he expected to play in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Patriots released a photo of him on the practice field.

"He was limited in practice," head coach Bill Belichick said. "He was limited today."

Defensive linemen Deatrich Wise, who also suffered a concussion, and Malcolm Brown, battling a foot injury, were also limited participants in practice.

Belichick added that Gronkowski remains in concussion protocol.

Gronkowski sustained the injury on a helmet-to-helmet hit from Barry Church, a safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The tight end played just eight games last year before undergoing season-ending back surgery. He missed the entire playoff run, which culminated in a Super Bowl victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Since the start of last year, the Patriots are 12-1 without him.

Super Bowl LII kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. on NBC10 Boston.
