Sanders Out Front in 3-Way New Hampshire Primary Lead: Poll

Sanders has been running close to Biden in the Real Clear Politics polling average for New Hampshire

The New Hampshire primary is a three-person race, and Sen. Bernie Sanders is leading it, according to a poll released Wednesday.

The independent senator from nearby Vermont has an 8-point lead over his nearest competitor for the Democratic presidential primary, former Vice President Joe Biden, 29% to 21%, according to the poll from Franklin Pierce University-Boston Herald. That gap is just within the 4.8% margin of error.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts is in third place in the poll, with 17%. The next-highest candidate was Sen. Kamala Harris, who registered 6%.

Biden has been in front in most polls of the hotly contested state primary, the first in the nation, while Sanders and Warren have each topped some recent polls.

Sanders has been running close to Biden in the Real Clear Politics polling average for New Hampshire, even briefly surpassing Biden for two days last week.
