Climate change took center stage at a Massachusetts college on Sunday night.
People gathered at Stonehill College in Easton for a rally, marching and calling for change, followed by a debate between Senator Ed Markey and challenger Shannon Liss-Riordan
"Young people, we're just done with inaction," one woman said.
"We all see it in our daily lives. We see it when we purchase goods. We see it in the fires," another said.
A range of proposed solutions to deal with climate change was debated, but there was a shared rallying cry for action now.
Sen. Markey touted his Green New Deal while Liss-Riordan proposed other alternatives at the forum moderated by NBC and MSNBC's Steve Kornacki.
"What it calls for in the Green New Deal is a revolution in the automotive, in the agricultural," Markey said.

"Carbon pricing I think is a very important point because I still didn't hear in the Senator's remarks any discussion of how we actually are going to fund this revolution that we need," Riss-Liordan contended. "Think about the massive opportunity we have to create millions of jobs researching and developing these solar, wind, geothermal technology."
"And that is what is in the Green New Deal," Sen. Markey rebutted. "That's what it calls for."
Though their proposed strategies were different, the goals were similar with each hoping for a cleaner, brighter future for us all.
Congressman Joe Kennedy III, who is also challenging Sen. Markey, was invited to participate in Sunday night's debate but declined to attend.
