A settlement has been reached in the case of the Dorchester market that was selling non-inspected meat and poultry and violating food safety laws.

According to the Boston Globe, US Attorney Andrew Lelling made an announcement Tuesday that Phu Cuong Enterprises – located at 1188 Dot Ave entered into a consent decree not to violate the Federal Meat Inspection Act and the Poultry Products Inspection Act.

The store was warned four times about violating the laws since February of 2014.

Because of this settlement, the USDA inspectors will now have a broader access to the market for inspections of inventory and records. The market will also face monetary penalties for any further violations.
