Shooting Victim Drives to Cumberland Farms for Help, Gunman Sought: PD

A gunman is on the loose after a bloodied man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound arrived at a Cumberland Farms store Wednesday night in Massachusetts.

Police in Northbridge said they received a call at 9:33 p.m. about the man, who showed up at the Cumberland Farms store at 2222 Providence Rd., bleeding and suffering from an injury. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities said they believe the man was shot elsewhere and drove to Cumberland Farms for help. The victim was not identified and his exact condition is unclear.

The shooting is under investigation by local and state police. A description of the gunman was not immediately available.
