It looks like a Colorado-based chain of quick-casual burger restaurants is opening its fourth location in the Greater Boston area, and this one may be somewhere in the city itself.
According to a number of job posts, including one within the Craigslist site, Smashburger is getting ready to open a new outlet, with the Craigslist post saying "New Restaurant Opening in Boston!" A search has not come up with an exact location for the upcoming dining spot, so we have reached out to the company for additional information and are waiting to hear back from them.
The Denver-based Smashburger chain was established in 2007, featuring meatball-shaped patties that are "smashed" on the grill, in order to help caramelize the beef and keep in the juices. Currently, Boston-area locations can be found in Medford, Natick, and Westwood, while two others a bit further out can be found in Attleboro and Plainville.
