Smoke on Red Line Train Causes Delays Near Charles MGH Stop

MBTA officials say smoke on a Red Line train caused some delays at the Charles-MGH stop.

Authorities said the train was taken out of service after making contact with some construction-related materials that had drifted onto the "right-of-way."

No injuries were reported.

Regular service resumed around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

It's not clear what caused the smoke.
