Suspect Arrested for Murder After Man is Found Dead in Home

A suspect has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of a man who was found dead Saturday at his home in Southbridge, Massachusetts.

In what police initially called a suspicious death, 59-year-old Joseph Stanick was found with multiple stab wounds in his home at 43 Columbus Ave.

Thursday night, 48-year-old David Roman of Dudley was arrested for Stanick's murder.

Neighbors described Stanick as a nice man who lived in the home for decades. Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. assured the public that his death was not random.

Roman was arraigned Friday and held without bail. He is due back in court on July 31.
