Suspect Pleads Not Guilty to Killing Man in Front of Daughter

A man has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in the killing of a Worcester, Massachusetts, man who was stabbed to death in front of his 8-year-old daughter.

The Telegram & Gazette reports that 26-year-old Charlie Jimenez entered the plea Friday in Worcester Superior Court. He remains detained and is expected back in court on July 10.

Jimenez is accused in the fatal stabbing of 25-year-old Christian Ramos on the evening of March 28, when Ramos was dropping off his daughter at her mother's house. Police say Jimenez was leaving the same woman's apartment after an argument and attacked Ramos with a knife.

Court records show Jimenez has a 2-year-old child with the mother of Ramos' daughter.

Police say the 8-year-old girl and another person witnessed the stabbing.
