Sweetgreen in Downtown Crossing Re-Opens

The restaurant was closed Tuesday after failing a health inspection

The popular salad chain Sweetgreen has re-opened its Downtown Crossing location after it closed Tuesday for failing a health inspection.

According to a statement released by company, "This morning we reopened our Downtown Crossing location after having voluntarily closed on Tuesday. We took this step out of an abundance of caution for our guests and are pleased that the City reinforced our efforts this morning."

The company also said employees went through food safety training classes and they will continue to work with "third-party consultants to continue to validate their "food safety standards."

The location on School Street was asked Tuesday to close voluntarily, and the restaurant complied.

Back in August, the Sweetgreen in Back Bay was also forced to close for health violations.
