Task Force Created After Reports of Men Approaching Kids

Hopkinton Police say one suspect in most incidents has been described as an older man with light or gray hair driving a gray car

Several police departments in central Massachusetts have created a task force after numerous reports of suspicious men approaching children in towns in the areas.

Hopkinton Police say one suspect in most incidents has been described as an older man with light or gray hair driving a gray car.

The task force includes police from Bellingham, Blackstone, Hopkinton, Mendon, Northbridge, Upton, and Uxbridge, where reports have all been made.

Officials say there has only been one instance where a child was asked to get into a car. No other attempted abduction reports have been confirmed, but police say the behavior of the suspects is concerning.

Anyone who sees something out of the ordinary is asked to call 911 immediately and get a good description or even a picture for police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hopkinton Police at 508-497-3401.
